Tony Carey was born on October 16, 1953 in Fresno California. He played keyboards with the group "Rainbow", until he moved on and recorded some film soundtracks. He emerged on the music scene in 1982 with the hit 'I Won't Be Home Tonight', which found its way to the top of the charts. The following year, he found success as the 'Planet P Project' with the hit 'Why Me?' Carey's 1984 album, 'Some Tough City', featured his two biggest American singles, 'A Fine, Fine Day' and 'The First Day Of Summer'. He has lived and recorded in Germany for years. He last resided on the Spanish island of Mallorca where he still records in his own studio.
