Vancouver, wa - Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 17:51:02 (EDT)"Lullaby" is the best song I've ever heard from Shawn Mullins...I was only 11 or 12 when I first heard it. And then I stopped hearing the song in Cali's radio stations, so I pretty much forgot the song. Then one day, my ex started singing it to me--I hadn't heard the song in years--so now it means a lot more to me. <3
I think he should defenitely come out with a new cd. ^_^

Lafayette, LA US - Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 13:39:34 (EDT)I JUST REALLY DISCOVERED SHAWN MULLINS, I REMEMBER WHEN LULLABY CAME OUT ON THE RADIO A FEW YEARS AGO AND I LOVED THE SONG BUT REALLY DIDN'T KNOW WHO SANG IT. A FEW WEEKS AGO I WAS LISTENING TO THE RADIO AND THEY PLAYED THE SONG AGAIN....I ASKED A FRIEND IF SHE KNEW WHO SANG THAT AND SHE TOLD ME SHAWN MULLINS, I WENT TO FIND THE CD WITH THE SONG ON IT. I FOUND "SOUL'S CORE" AND I FOUND SHAWN MULLINS AND I AM SO HAPPY I DID.....THE WHOLE CD IS GREAT. I LOVE THE SONG "SOUL CHILD" ON THE ALBUM, BUT EVERY SONG IS GREAT. TWIN FALLS, OREGON THE LYRICS..........."HE LOOKED JUST LIKE RICHARD BRAUTIGAN" BLEW ME AWAY. I USED TO READ BRAUTIGAN IN COLLEGE, SEEMS LIKE NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE AROUND ME KNOW WHO HE IS. LISTENING TO SHAWN'S MUSIC AND READING HIS LYRICS TAKES ME BACK TO A TIME THAT'S HARD TO DESCRIBE. I CANNOT WAIT TO PURCHASE MORE OF HIS MUSIC AND I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE HIM IN CONCERT.

Melbourne, Victoria Australia - Monday, February 28, 2005 at 19:00:53 (EST)Hi all,I am hoping to see Shawn play at Iota this sat - It's also my best friend's B-day - so i'm in a hard spot - but with any luck I'll be there - I can't express how talented I think Shawn is - like most people who have comfort in his words - his song Albatross soothed me when I was going through a hrad time - also being somewhat nomadic, listening to him is like a homecoming no matter where I am.

- Sunday, January 09, 2005 at 01:22:50 (EST)I discovered Shawn's music by accident and have been hooked ever since. The music pulls you in and the lyrics speak to the soul. No matter who you are when Shawn sings you feel like he has a crystal ball that gives him vision into the most intimate parts of your psyche. I have yet to see Shawn in person but perhaps I'll have that opportunity when I move back to Atlanta next spring. Keep singing for yourself Shawn...that's the secret.

Boston, MA USA - Sunday, January 09, 2005 at 01:16:41 (EST)I just want to say Soul's Core helped me through the hardest time of my life, when I was diagnosed with Cancer. The CD touched my heart, gave me strength, and hope. I would love to see Shawn perform. I don't think there has or ever will be a talent like his.

Dallas, Texas United States - Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 21:56:48 (EDT) Amy, i agree with you...thank you. Shawn is an amazing singer, but he will never forget his roots. Just listen to some of his songs, his roots are spoken of so much in those, along with other deep things that you'll understand if you listen to them. He still knows those roots but he has been presented an awesome opportunity and he's just taking it. He is living his dreams.

Dallas , Texas United States - Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 21:54:02 (EDT)Shawn Mullins opened for the Indigo Girls last spring. It was really the first time I have ever heard him, and all I can say is he really wowed us. I've been looking for his song, I think it's called, "No Blue Skies". He sang it so beautifully. I have found a version with The Thorns, but his solo is much more evocative. Any hints would be appreciated. Also, Shawn, if you happen to see this and don't have a solo version out----please make one. It was fantastic that night!!!!

Reynoldsburg, OH USA - Thursday, October 07, 2004 at 08:24:48 (EDT)Hi, Does anyone know if Shawn Mullins has ever played in Denmark? Is he going to?
Jane, Denmark.
Jane Winum Thomsen
Aarhus, Denmark - Sunday, September 12, 2004 at 12:51:20 (EDT)Oh, and why would anybody be "put down" by his producing, he's living his dream and wants to expand it. You need to realize he's in this business for the love of it. He know's his roots, he knows who he is and he's not changing for anyone. He wants to be apart of music whether it's playing or helping someone share their music with the world. You obviously don't know people like him too well.

Reno, NV USA - Saturday, August 14, 2004 at 04:14:22 (EDT) To answer to Emily London, I think the lyrics you mentioned are those of a song by Sister Hazel called Your Winter. A great song, as great as Shawn's.

frazier park, CA U.S. - Thursday, May 06, 2004 at 13:29:45 (EDT)Shawn rocks. Best musician ever. Great songs. I greatly respect people like him. I hope he makes a new album soon, though. I was quite put down when I learned he's gone into producing and all that. Hope he finds his roots again soon. I'll be the first in line to get it.
Wow, Lee... You saw him live? I'm a student from the Netherlands so that won't happen to me anytime soon. :(

Nijmegen, Gelderland Netherlands - Sunday, April 25, 2004 at 17:23:51 (EDT)This is in reference to the last comment by Amanda Banks. Millions and millions of web sites out there and you go to a site that supports someone you HATE? What a dumbass! I have known Shawn since he got out of High School. Saw his concerts at Eddie's Attic almost every month for 5 years until he hit it big. When he comes full circle, he'll be back in the small clubs with people who love his heartfelt written songs. So..Amanda, you need to get off the Internet and go get laid! Peace!
